"actual manager with a ruthlessness and will to win, admitting his errors and acting fast, as that is what a manager is paid to do"

So who would this be? What realistic target you have to replace Bilic?

This site is full of a lot of deluded people I have to say.

Look at that guy trying to defend the Antonio decision.

One okay result against a poor Burnley side and they forget all about his many many mistakes and faults he has.

Has everyone forgot the shambles last week losing 4-0 when it could have been 8!?

Both City batterings and let's not forget celebrating the post as MOTM against Hull.

Or shall we not talk about his persistence with the very obvious shit Calleri, or his eternity to drop Randolph?

Maybe let's ignore the players out of position and not signing a right back in January after falling out with yet another player?

Righto, if you love the club and you want it to be more than a farce battling around the bottom you will want Bilic gone and an actual manager with a ruthlessness and will to win, admitting his errors and acting fast, as that is what a manager is paid to do.

Most definitely is the managers responsibility. There's no excuse for complacency. You're in one of the toughest leagues in the world getting paid millions and have an army of fans to entertain. At what point do you consciously take your foot off the pedal? should always be looking to improve, be fitter, stronger, hungrier.

It's not like we came 2nd. The end of the season was pretty crap and there was always a danger that we might pick up where we left off....which we did. And never quite recovered.

Admitting complacency to me is admitting you aren't very professional or ambitious.

Managers job to sort it out. The way we ended the season makes me think he probably did.

Bilic admitted there was complacency this season. It's the manager's responsibility.

" I think Bilic thought he was the bee's knees after last season. He was such a great manager that the training didn't need to be intense and the team didn't need to be fit. We didn't need a real rightback because he was going to turn Antonio into a free-scoring defender."

If Bilic thought his team were too good to be fit then what must Conte want to do with his team next season? Turn up once a week for training, get pissed, eat fast food and generally live like a slob...because you won the league and proved you're fitter than ever.

More embarrassing bollocks from Gold this morning on twitter. Why can't he just shut the fuck up?

I agree. We're not a passing team at all...although it' sno surprise to me that as soon as we had Lanzini deployed in CM yesterday along side a young athletic but technical player like Fernandes, we sprayed the ball around better.

Our play primarily focuses on counter attack, getting the ball to Lanzini, Antonio (and before he left Payet) as high up the pitch as possible and hoping they make something happen.

Other than that it's spread the play and try and get a cross in from the overlap.

The only real improvement over Allardyce is we don't play for throw-ins/position anymore, are not closed to the idea of having some skill in the side, and dont look to launch the crosses in from quite so deep.

Complacency quickly turned into panic, as it so often does in life.

Sorry Bilic deserves no fucking credit for coping without Caroll and Sakho most the season.

It's not like they both just signed last summer is it.

He knew exactly what they were like and didn't bring in a striker in Jan.

I mark that one down as a negative to Slaven.

You reckon? Our record in UEFA Cup recently would suggest otherwise.

I have to disagree entirely with that (though we did see a nice passing approach in the game at Burnley). We are a team whose current strength is scoring set-pieces, and out-muscling teams. Carroll, Kouyate, Antonio and the centre-backs (three of them atm). Our record at creating in open play is worst in the league - a hideous result.

I think the reports of the change in style under Bilic are massively exaggerated. Though I can see he's trying, to be fair.

Re: Sulli / Bilic on today's game and next season
Of course we top want/need top class players, but they want CL football, and cost more than we can afford in both the fee and wages. This is where a good manager does his stuff; getting average Prem. players playing as a better team, with a proper system/plan. Do we have such a manager? I'd give Bilic until Xmas.

Thats not bad to be honest. I have to give Bilic some credit for managing through this. I didnt think he had it in him.

We do have a style. We play passing football, on the floor and with some good technique. Strangely enough I think we are a team more suited to continental football than the prem as we dont out muscle teams. Maybe thats what we need to work on?

We just need to be a bit more accurate with our passing and pay attention more. We switch off alot and allow goals that school kids would blush at sometimes.

But I'd like Bilic to stay. As i think he has got to have learned from this season. His biggest issue is that you cant try something 5 times thats obiously not working. You have to change quickly. Look at Conte, shit not working, boom , change it.

The right back thing was diabolical. And to base your transfer strategy on using Antonio as a right back was always a terrible idea and we suffered massively because of that one decision. All our issues this season stem from that stupid decision.

i hope he doesnt do that shit again.

Load of bollocks that surely as i am pretty sure they didnt expect to sell Payet when they were doing their budgets at the beginning of the season. So surely we have more money that came in including that sale.

As important as new signings is the need for a proper pre-season this year so that the players are not playing catch up fitness wise through the early games. Especially as they will be away from home.

Swiss

I think they meant more the fact we could have ended up as low as 16th

10m difference between that and 11th
